Sponsored by K. Wah Group, the classical play The Three Families Alley performed in Shanghai Oriental Art Centre in June 2011. It was well received by more than 600 invited guests from academia, professionals and cultural groups. The sponsorship aimed at nourishing the public's understanding of this traditional Chinese art performance to people from all walks of life.

KWIH organized a training workshop for managerial grade staff with an aim to strengthen their management skills in May 2011. The participants were guided to make use of the Enneagram to understand more about themselves as well as others, learning how to accommodate people of different personalities so as to enhance cohesion and team spirit.

KWIH organized the Baduanjin course in April and May 2011, providing a good opportunity for staff to stretch their muscles and improve health through simple exercises. Staff and their family members and friends later enjoyed a relaxing Saturday afternoon together during the bowling day in June, practicing their bowling skills with coaching from experienced trainer.

A walking team of 4 members from K. Wah Social Club joined MTR Race Walking in April 2011. They started their 4x100m relay on Chater Road, Central, to demonstrate the health benefits of walking. The fund raised will be sent to Hospital Authority Health InfoWorld to support its work on disease prevention and health education.

KWIH has been a nine-time sponsor of the event Leader of the Year organized by Sing Tao News Corporation. Acknowledging the excellent contributions by Hong Kong elites and establishing role models for younger generation, the annual event held its presentation ceremony in March 2011, while Dr Che-woo Lui, Chairman of the Group and Alexander Lui, Executive Director of KWIH were among the guests.

KWIH Shanghai Property Division organized a special gathering exclusively for ladies on the annual International Women's Day in 2011. While enjoying the luncheon, the ladies were more than eloquent in sharing tips on beauty, skin care, travel, health, wealth management and work-life balance.

Echoing YMCA of Hong Kong's idea for toys recycling, KWIH called for toys donation among its staff from February to March in 2011. KWIH's volunteers cleaned and delivered the donation to the toy bank accounts holders, who are mainly underprivileged children, to redeem toys if they complete a stage of their personal growth plan, for example to volunteer for community service. This environmentally friendly initiative truly manifests the essence of "sharing is blessing".

With its members’ relatives and friends, K. Wah Social Club gained sponsorship from the company to be among the walk teams in the Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions in February 2011. Along the 5.5 km route, the party took the first step from Pak Shek Kok Promenade to Tai Po Waterfront Park. The raised funds will be designated to support 27 social welfare agencies in providing children and youth services.

Human Resources Department of KWIH hosted two seminars on Youth Aspirations and Essential Habits for Effective People respectively in February and March 2011. In the former seminar, the representatives from Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre shared with the Group's management an analysis of the Post 80s' and 90s' mindsets and appeals, hoping to promote communication and coordination among colleagues of different age and background. The latter seminar, aiming at junior staff, featured with group activities in a relaxing setting to highlight the importance of team work and work efficiency, while passing on the spirit of K. Wah.

To welcome the Year of Rabbit, staff from Corporate Office and Hong Kong Properties Division gathered for a lunchtime party in February 2011, during which they shared a relaxing and joyful time with the delectable buffet and lucky draw session arranged by K. Wah Social Club.

Dr Che-woo Lui, the Group Chairman, pledged a donation of HK$60 million to the University of Hong Kong through Lui Che Woo Foundation for the construction of the Lui Che Woo Library in the Centennial Campus in contribution to nurturing legal elites in Hong Kong in 2010.

Collaborating with the Ministry of Education of China since 2005, the Group's renovation and construction programme of 122 schools in Mainland China came to fruition in 2010, with a book titled Ai Shang Xue <<愛上學>> covering the touching stories of the beneficiaries published. The books were given to teachers and students in addition to business partners to share the fruit of the five-year programme while encouraging more people to support the good cause.

KWIH Shanghai Property Division and the Jingan District Tennis Association jointly organized the Shanghai tennis tournament cum spring appreciation party at the Shanghai Tianma Country Club in April 2010 for the good sake of promoting green and healthy living, making it an excellent opportunity for staff to mingle and enjoy leisure.

K. Wah Social Club brought its staff to a wonderful trip in Hong Kond Disneyland in November 2010.

The K. Wah Group Training and Recreational Centre was officially opened in September 2010 as an interactive platform that facilitates learning and leisure. A variety of training and hobby courses were offered, to name a few, property management training programme, snowy mooncake class, Mid-Autumn festival gala, yoga class, creative drawing workshop, happy fruit day, CNY daffodil planting class.

KWIH Shanghai Property Division held a staff gathering in Qingpu, Shanghai in summer 2010. The staff had a nice time relaxing in natural surroundings while connecting with peers. The event helped build up a stronger sense of solidarity among the staff and allowed them to appreciate the corporate value and philosophy, fostering unity for greater success in future.

Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG under the Group, together with the Group management attended the China Europe International Business School (“CEIBS”) Beijing campus inauguration ceremony on 24 April 2010, followed by an unveiling ceremony of the Lui Che Woo Auditorium in response to the Group’s RMB 8million donation.

To assist in relief and redevelopment efforts after the earthquake in Qinghai, Dr Che-woo Lui, Chairman of K. Wah Group, via the Lui Che Woo Foundation, and GEG pledged a donation of MOP5 million to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR in April 2010.

Dr Che-woo Lui, the Group Chairman, pledged a donation of MOP30 million to the University of Macau via Lui Che Woo Foundation on 12 April 2010. The donation allows the university to extend new campus in Hengqin, Zhuhai, and to establish scholarships and exchange programmes.

In June 2009, K. Wah Group visited Jingan Lui Che Woo School in Yunnan, one of the schools co-funded by Lui Che Woo Foundation and local governments of Shanghai Jingan District and Yunnan Province, marking a new chapter of government-enterprise partnership to develop education in Mainland China.

In February 2008, KWIH sent over 100 staff and their family members to participate in Walk for a Million, raising funds for Community Chest and helping those in need.

In 2007, KWIH was the title sponsor of the tenth Vote for the Ten Most Significant News of the HKSAR Government. Members of the public were invited to cast their votes for the most significant events. Commemorative booklets were also published for free distribution to schools and universities to help promote public awareness in Hong Kong affairs.

In June 2007, K. Wah staff of Guangzhou Property Division took part in the tree planting activity on Baiyun Mountain, organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality, to build a green environment together.

K. Wah staff of Shanghai Property Division has been sponsoring a hearing impaired child since 2002 and pay regular visits to Shanghai Children's Home.

Dr Che-woo Lui, Chairman of K. Wah Group made a donation of HK$30 million to Hong Kong Polytechnic University in support of the continuous development of the university and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management. A commemorative unveiling ceremony of Lui Che Woo Building was held on 8 December 2008.

On 23 September 2008, K. Wah Group Chairman Dr Che-woo Lui made a donation of HK$30 million to Fudan University in Shanghai for the renovation and expansion of Zibin Building, which after renovation will become the office tower for Fudan’s central administration, renamed as Che-woo Building. The Fudan K. Wah Day co-organized by the Group and Fudan aimed to bring about synergy in talent nurturing through school-enterprise partnership.

Lui Che Woo Foundation pledged a donation of RMB20 million for establishing the Business School Building of Wuyi University, Jiangmen, in support of nurturing professionals for the country.

Lui Che Woo Foundation joins hand with the Ministry of Education and donated HK$45 million to support a massive renovation and construction programme for 150 primary schools at impoverished areas in Mainland China. In October 2007, a delegation of K. Wah attended the unveiling ceremony of Che-woo Academic building in one of the schools.

In May 2007, K. Wah Scholarships were presented to 12 outstanding students of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to support their placements in major hotel chains overseas or in Mainland China.

In 2006, KWIH donated HK$14 million to the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in enhancing the research and setting up of scholarships.
